7 Books to Jumpstart your Spiritual Awakening

I always tell my clients to be very selective about the energy they consume, whether it be food, people, places, social media, etc; books are no different. I'm probably even more cautious about books, or anything of a spiritual nature, because I know that energy is real, and it's powerful.

The purest form of energy is Spirit; beyond physical thing, actions or even words. The pure spiritual essence is truest and most potent form of energy; so when you read a spiritual book its like taking in a concentrated form of energy; and just like all the other forms of energy you consume, you want to be mindful of where its coming from and for what purpose.

I want the best of everything, and I'm sure you do too.

So, I've compiled a list of the top seven Spiritual Books I recommend to my clients for their awakening and healing journey. I've compiled them in order of basic to more advanced.

These are books that I always buy when I see at the book store and give them away to whomever will take them.

I've also included links to where to buy them online. Whenever possible, I prefer a company called Thriftbooks to Amazon, as they work with small bookstores to sell their items first; but there's also the option to choose to buy it new as well.

1. The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz.

I practically give this book away with every initial session or consult I do for someone. It's such a simple read that profoundly illuminates the subconscious programming that we all face as we grow up, and how to gracefully undo it and come into more truth,

2. Game Changers: Social Alchemists of the 21st Century

I might be a *little* bias when it comes to this book because it was written by one of my teachers & mentors: Dr. Theresa Bullard-Whyke. As host of Mystery Teachings on Gaia TV, she combines her background of Physics with her deep knowledge of esoteric teachings and wisdom. This book, gives us a comprehendible explanation of the 7 Stages of Alchemy, and how they apply to our personal lives as well as the collective shift we are experiencing at the start of the 2020's.

3. The Prophet by Khalil Gibran

This collection of timeless poems cover just about every topic of life and within them beckon for truth and understanding in a way that only poetry can. Contemplation on any of these poems will bring a sense of peace and beauty to even the most troubled hearts & minds.

4. The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

Read more like a an epic sonnet than a book, each line of this story drips with deep esoteric knowledge that, with proper application, may wield vast wisdom. Again, this is more of a text for contemplation that can be revisited many times throughout your journey, always offering up new wisdom for those with eyes and ears to hear.

5. Simplified Qabala Magic buy Ted Andrews

The Tree of Life has astounded sages & mystics from around the world throughout time. Although not an Initiate of the Mysteries, Ted Andrews beautifully and simply lays out the key fundamentals of the Tree of us to begin understanding how this map and instruction manual is the key to unlocking the mystery of ourselves, God & the Universe

6. Women who Run with the Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola-Estes

I think this book should be mandatory reading for all women, or anyone who wants to understand feminine archetypes and initiation. Dr. Pinkola-Estes combines her multicultural, inherited stories and storytelling with her studies of Jungian psychology to examine famine archetypes and stages of initiation. This book validated so much within my feminine nature that society tried to negate.

7. The Kybalion by The Three Initiates

The Seven Hermetic Principles are Spiritual Laws that govern all of creation and are the grounds upon which all Hermetics are sourced. Brought to light by Hermes Trismegistus (Thrice Great Hermes), these are the originating source and deducing principle of all of creation; ie Magick. Although a difficult concept to wrap the human and around, this book gives a simple overview of the principles for one to begin to see how everything can be drawn back to one or all of the principles.
